You may also get to Wynyard by car using the popular ferry service between Melbourne and Devonport;your own boat, yacht or cruiser sailing direct in to Wynyard; using private aircraft from anywhere in the world or like most, by using commercial aircraft from Melbourne's International Airport - Tullamarine direct to Burnie's Wynyard Airport landing just three minutes from our front door.

Some flights also traverse between Wynyard and Moorabbin in Victoria. The Wynyard Airport, better known as the Burnie/Wynyard Airport is situated within walking distance of Golden Embers Apartments the Wynyard Post Office and the centre of town and several flights per day are available between Melbourne and Wynyard. A connection to the Burnie/Wynyard airport is available from any airport in Australia.
The Ferry service between Melbourne and Sydney to Devonport is another popular way of getting to Tasmania. In particular as your car is transported at a very low cost. A first class road will take you along the coast to Wynyard using up just under one hour of your time.
